City break for honeymoon January?

Hi guys

We are thinking of a 5 day city break somewhere for honeymoon in January, anybody any suggestions?. So far, Paris or Rome are being considered any opinions on either of these in January??

Suggestions greatly appreciated.
 
just been to Seville absolutely gorgeous cheap with Ryanair direct about 2hrs lovely weather, sights, food and Sangria!!
 
Would second seville. Beautiful city, amazing cathedral. Went there end jan last year and weather was lovely. It's also very accessible for Ronda, Cordoba, Granada and you could even visit the Algarve. We stayed in a very authentic little hotel called hotel Murillo, booked with Alpha Rooms. Seville is also great for Flamenco and there are some great shows.
 
If you haven't been to Rome before then I would highly recommend it. Loads to see. I've been there at least 3 times before and I look forward to returning.

Paris is over rated in my opinion.

Genuine tapas bars, long siestas ;) ;) and restaurants open to the wee hours.

If you want to venture outside Seville, Cordoba and Jerez are nearby and also well worth a visit.

Paris will be FREEZING in January...way too cold to be romantic IMO!

Are you limited to Europe?
 
Most of Europe will be cold in January, but this just adds to the romance I expect you're looking for. Then Paris is the place to go... So much culture, romance, great food.. Impossible to be overrated really. 5 days is perfect too.. You could even take a day trip to Euro Disney, not very romantic, but fun.. If you're lucky it'll snow, now thats a honeymoon to remember.
 
i would go for paris but it would be cold. what about malta you would get a good deal in a five star hotel at that time of year. flight is only a little over 3 hours. valetta is full of history and you might get decent weather as well
 
i forgot this one why not dubai, weather will be perfect and five days is just about right to see dubai. you can ski indoors if you want,its a honeymoon,i reckon you could get flights and top class hotel for €1,500 but book now
 
We just went to Vienna for our first wedding anniversary. Gorgeous city with lovely places to eat etc.

Rome in my opinion is one of the most romantic cities in the world - so perfect for Honeymoon.

I loved St. Petersburg and also thought it was very romantic, and nice to visit Russia if its somewhere that interests you. Getting Visas is not as much an issue as you'd be lead to believe, we got ours in three days.

None of these places would be particularly warm - but it's always nice to snuggle up and keep warm on a romantic holiday :)
 
cold doesn't have to be a problem. Just wrap up. I'd suggest Prague or somewhere in Germany perhaps also - was in munich for new years eve last year and it was brilliant. Dusseldorf for shopping... take a trip down the danube or mosel valley as options also perhaps?
