Did anyone hear Mary Lou on Drive Time today, dont vote of the Lisbon treaty because it is a bad treaty. Then she kept taking about a 'charger', however I am not sure what batteries she wanted to recharge.

Charter maybe? You would never know with her. Easily my most disliked politician. A complete and utter fool.

I've never voted for Sinn Fein but I can see alot of younger people with left leanings voting from them in the next election and can also see them being in power/sharing power within a generation.

Sinn Fein are possibly the only left leaning party in the country at the moment. Labour cannot be considered left anymore in my opinion. Possibly more left leaning than FF/FG closer to the middle but that's about it.

Strange how a Nationalist party can be considered left leaning. Off the top of my head I can't remember too many Nationalist Socialist parties.

There used to be a National Socialist party in Germany. Whatever happened to them ?

She is pre-occupied with not coming across as stupid so she has learned off every political trick and ways of saying things (without saying anything at all).

She embodies everything I hate about politicians.

The socialist party-I thought they were just a group of dirty layabouts with nothing better to do with their time.

I had to laugh, I tried to get onto his web site and my PC slowed down and then crashed. I thought, that was clever of them. Normally they need to have a foothold in a company before that happens.

I wouldn't agree. SF are being sqeezed on two fronts. Despite a push to the Left in the local elections, SF didn't do particularly well and with the emergence of parties the People Before Profit Alliance they are under pressure. Also, hard core Republicans are leaving them for hard line parties like Eirigi. Also, they have lost three councillors since the locals.

Their basic dilemma is that they are percieved as a Northern Party. This was summed up by Toireasa Ferris recently and to add credence to her remarks her daddy went off and collected some murderers from prison.

A disgrace that they didn't condemn it, and people like Harney using such an issue to score cheap political points is equally disgraceful.
