Virgin Atlantic has just announced a near-enough doubling of annual profits to £68.4m for the 12 months up to February 2009 - http://www.rte.ie/business/2009/0526/virgin.html

I also noticed Branson, who sponsors the Brawn F1 team relaxing at the Monaco GP at the week-end, seemingly insulated from and oblivious to the bitter taste of credit crunch for breakfast.

Could we entice him to stand for election here before the Brits cop on to his acumen and foresight, and his uncanny ability to find winners?

Brilliant idea mathepac but virgin' on the sublime :)

The system is not totally fool-proof apparently airmen are able to breach this but seamen have real trouble getting through the door.
