I did something that has caused my photos to be shown on my computer screen when its left idle.
Some I wouldnt want anyone to see! and if anyone comes into the house ,god knows what would be on the screen.
Problem is I have no idea how I did it and no idea how to stop it.
Anyone have any idea how I can stop this happening?

Sounds like there is an automatic screensaver option linked to your My Pictures folder.
Either that or you have an automatic slideshow option on the folder that you engaged.
Try turning the machine off completely and back on again, not restarting.
Otherwise specify your operating system and wait for others' advice.

Place the cursor in any free space on your desktop (not on a shortcut) and right-click.
A menu should be displayed. Click on Properties and a box should appear.
Click on the "screensaver" tab.

In the middle of the screensaver box is a drop down list of the available screensavers - the one selected on your PC is "my pictures slideshow". Highlight another from the list and click "apply" at the bottom of the box, then OK to exit.

That should solve the problem and spare the blushes!
(instructions for Windows XP, I'm sure it's very similar for other Window packages).
