hi folks just a quick question, can anyone view somebodys will after the person has died? or is it private?

how long does the process take to complete?

Once it goes to probate, you can contact the local probate office to get a copy. there is a small fee involved.

hi thanks for the info, if i get a copy of it, does anybody know that i did?

also how would one know a will was passed through probate if they were not a beneficiary?

If you are asking if the probate office keep a record of who asks for a copy, the answer is no.

To find out if a will has passed through probate you just have to search in the probate office. And if only a short time has passed since the death, you have to keep searching until the probate is granted. Can, in difficult cases, take years.
