Hi i got a fine in a euro car park last week for not having ticket displayed. I was told that there is no need to pay this fine as they do nothing about it, anybody know anything about them.

It use to be the case but they now use an external company to collect fines and they will chase you for out standing fines. They could also clamp you and not release the clamp until all payments are made.

They can't clamp you unless you are parked in one of their car parks.

The fine has no legal standing and they would need to take you to court to proceed with it.

It is true they can only clamp you in one of their car park but it can be any of their car parks so be careful to look at who is controlling the carpark the next time you use it.

Not sure about the legal standing of the fine but they do pass it on to a third part debt collector type now i believe

That is no legal standing , they have to take a civil case.

Hi xxx. I wondered how this situation panned out and if you ended up paying the fine.
