free to air channels please help

Hi we cancelled sky as we just couldnt afford it anymore. Now we are sitting looking at each other as we have no channels. How do you get the free to air ones as we dont have a clue where to start?

set your sky channel to 501. Press the red button, while that is responding, remove the sky card, press 'backup' and do not re-insert the card. Your Skybox should now be set to EPG or English Programme guide. Lots of free stations. You will have to go off skybox to get RTE etc. Try that.

If you've been with Sky for over 1 year, the box is yours. A couple of years ago, after many years with Sky, I decided to say Goodbye. So I just removed the card. It worked. Eventually the box wore out, so I had to buy a new one. €200!

Most of those come up free with the EPg, see above. Now can anyone tell me hoe to get RTE, TV3 etc on the EPG? Probably the name, English Programme Guide, says it all!

I recommend getting a freesat card for £20. Defaults your chanels to bbc ni. gives you all the channel 4's and fives.
TV install people sell them otherwise have one sent to a norther address.
Without it you ahve to wade thru reams of UK bbc's.
