Hi

Can anyone provide me with a website or something that will give me a very detailed description of the following:

After Sales Manager
Service Manager
Parts Manager
Workshop Foreman
Workshop Controller
Warranty Manager
Service Reception Manager

(this needs to be a VERY DETAILED description for the above)

Thanks everyone, will really appreciate this one if someone can help...

Have you tried Fas? or the equivalent in the UK?

Ill leave this question in Cars and Motoring but will move it to Jobs/Careers if you like.

Is there a role you are particularly interested in , i've worked in the motor trade since i left third level and would be happy to throw you some info from a real world point of view

were in the process of applying for visas. my partner has been in the motor trade his whole life, beginning obviously as a mechanic and working his way up to after sales manager for numberous dealerships.

On the application its asking for a VERY detailed description and give a step by step account of what you do etc. my partner wouldnt be the best at admin etc, hence my post here. So we would need descriptions for all the job titles... Hes been on the motor trade over 22 years now.

if anyone can help we'd be grateful thanks a mill. Have had a look on few websites but we need more info than that. Mr SS is going to contact jaguar & the others that he worked for to see if they have anything on paper... hes allergic :D

greenfield thank you for that. ill show this to Mr SS.

some of the dealerships have sent him some of the info he needed. they were very helpful.

I really think he'd be better starting from scratch - just write down what he did. Start with drawing a few circles on a sheet to find the main headings, and then put a list of responsibilities in there. It doesn't need to be Shakespearean prose. Keep it simple.
