DId anyone see the interview tonight between gay byrne and colin farrell ?

I have nothing against colin farrell at all - enjoy many of his movies in fact.
But was it just me or did he come accross as a bit of an idiot?

I felt myself cringing a lot of the time when he would say stuff.

Obviously the whole concept of the show is that it comes from more a spiritual angle.

I felt he seemed to be trying to give answers which he hoped people would think were intelligent answers as opposed to things he actually thought himslef.
He seemed to be trying to bluff stuff i thought.

He was on Jonathan ross a few months ago where i felt at the time that he came accross pretty well.
But in hindsight i'm thinking he wasn't on Ross long enough for me to judge properly.
Whereas the show tonight was an hour long so it was much easier to judge.

Also - the constant bad lanuage he was using seemed out of place and inappropriate for the show he was on given that it was just a one on one with gaybo.
AGain - i kind of felt he was doing it to make sure people know that he was teh bad boy.

Ya - i've decided i reckon he's an idiot.

STruck me as a fairly intense character also.

he's always come across as a bit flaky but sure in that business you'd do well not to be FUBAR

Didn't see it but all the "Ooh I'm a bit wild" thing aside, I kind of like the guy from what I've seen of him.

He sounded like a right tool and i was cringing for him some times - i thought he was acting out this role of someone he thought he should be also. too much. had enough after 5 min and flicked

I heard one person say he came across as 'a loveable muppet' on that interview. I think that's an accurate description.

He's an actor - and a fairly good one. This of itself is no reason to expect him to be intelligent, articulate, opinionated, charitable, angry, sad, spiritual, thrifty, extravagant, hedonistic, calvinistic or anything else.

I didn't see the programme, but if I had, rather than take disappointment from the man's perceived limitations, I would prefer to take the view that it was great that his limitations have not held him back from expressing his acting talents.
