Buying classical CDs in Dublin

Is there anywhere left in Dublin where classical CDs can be bought? I'm talking about somewhere with a decent selection of stuff and not the usual suspects.

Why restrict yourself to a small shop in the NCH. I'm sure on the internet you can get a brilliant selection. Try amazon etc. I buy piles of cds online and never had a problem. Even with postage charges it will be a lot cheaper than dublin rip off prices.

Im sure you could download them from some web sites? I find amazon good aswell. Go fishing on the net, you can find anything you want on that.

Been a few years since I've been in there, but there was a pretty big classical section upstairs in Tower Records on Wicklow Street.

However Tower Records might have The Usual Suspects on dvd so that's not an option...

I'm no classical connoisseur, but I got the impression that Tower's selection was way better than most too. Their staff tend to be knowledgeable as well.

Some of the Dublin public libraries have fine collections of classical CDs that you can borrow .

Perhaps public libraries around the country do too ?

Of course they dont sell them - which is a bit of a problem if you want to own the media

Play.com is good, but just to echo the others, Tower Records has a big selection too

No idea, other than Tower. Don't buy many classical CD's.

Heres an interesting online store. They specialise in getting high quality recording on all formats. Some CD's are mastered better than others etc. Thats what they sell. I've never used them myself.

If you find somewhere let us know. I expect you might have to go the uk or the north to find some place.
