Albufeira or another lively spot in Portugal worth going to for a party holiday?

Anyone recommend Albufeira or somewhere similar, assuming Albufeira is a party place and not for families (is this a correct assumption?)

I would have classed Albufeira (Old Town) more families and Montechoro (New Town) more lively, the strip is in Montechoro

No not really. I stayed there with 2 years ago for a week and certainly while you can go on a mad one, there are also plenty of families around the place. In other words I didnt see people falling around the street at 3PM locked out of their heads.....

My experience too. Plenty available for the late-night revellers but families well catered for as well.
