Well Done, R.T.E!

Proper game as in Rugby:D

RTE have to show a sport that most fans watch. I have never seen an Irish league jersey when out and about in Ireland but only because I am blinded by all the English ones. I would assume these people are license payers so do they not deserve to watch the sport they follow?

Indeed but apart from international you get to see very little of the sport and our top players have to play in a league that involves other countries as they can't make a real wage at a "normal" rugby club here in Ireland.

That's quite a romantic notion but it doesn't change the fact that a dull game is dull both live or from the comfort of your sofa, except you have the luxury of turning it over from your sofa. The league of Ireland is below par and doesn't match up to the premier league and there just isn't the following in Ireland to justify putting it ahead of the premier league in the schedule.

I have watched many many dull premier league and in the Irish league. At least you see that and what annoys me most is that some people think all games in England are amazing and buy into the SKY rubbish of the greatest league and that every Sunday is a "Super" Sunday:rolleyes:

How is a league to raise its standard if people just watch an foreign league and won't bring their kids to some live sport and instead sit them down to watch sky ( or RTE ) and the hype that goes with it.

Big plus is that the home ground of the European rugby champions is 30 mins away. We get to see plenty of top rugby in this part of the world, Provincial and AIL.

Beats your fuzzball any day :)
