Hi there

I have bought an apartment in Killegland Hall, due for completion Nov 06. I live in Ashbourne up the road from the development, area is grand, loads of shops nearby, Tesco, Dunnes, Gym, O Briens. Can't wait to move in.

Re: Killegland House apartments

Fr,

Where in Ireland are "Killegland House Apartments"?

Re: Killegland House apartments

Hi

They are in Ashbourne in Co Meath, its right in the middle of the town centre. Ashbourne is about 13 miles from Dublin. Its serviced by the 103 & 105 Bus Eireann buses, commute time to Dublin is about 1hr and you right beside the N2 and its 12 mins on that to Finglas and the the M50.

Good area but killegland apartments only have 1 carpark space
and use storage heaters (no gas central heating) as in a lot
of new apartment developments, saving builders alot of work.
They are bang in the middle of the new town centre which
has alot of the well known shop names from blanch centre so you
should expect good capital appreciation

Yeah I am not sure how I will cope with the storage heating as I had gas in my last place, I suppose it will be better having only 1 heating bill coming into the house!

I bought my apt back in March 06 for €210k and they are selling now at around €250k I think so its a good investment alright.

an now they are sell in for this!

I'm confused about the english that is used in this post. I think the poster is highlighting the 'cheapness' of the apartment now. Note though that the price is for the affordable home scheme.

Well I am in it for the long term so what goes down eventually goes back up again.

Hi Airtight

I purchased it for €210k in March 06 but the mortgage on the property is only €193k, I put my deposit down with profit I earnt on my previous apt which was a shared ownership scheme apt with Dublin City Council.

My mortgage is only €734 at the moment a month, the highest it has ever been was €980 but I never claimed my mortgage interest relief for the first year, going to be renting it out in the next month or so living full time with my husband now, thinking of going the ras route with the local council, want to get it signed up for a long term rent till we are out of this mess and my profit is back up on it!
