Whats the likelihood of a longterm unemployed person with savings in excess of 50k with v little expenses being granted a credit card?I've looked at a few CC application forms and they omit any mention of unemployed status in the questionerre on personal details which doesnt fill me with hope.

You can always get a prepaid card. www.entropay.com are cow offering a prepaid plastic Mastercard.

Yes-and I see their charges may be better value than 3v in certain cases. Hadn't heard of them before now-they seem to come up in connection with casinos/online gambling quite a lot-is that so people can control their spend or hide this activity from their card issuer (just curiosity on my part)?

Hi,

you should have no problem getting a credit card with those type of savings, what you can do is put some of those savings in an account of the bank with which you are applying for the credit card - is this savings in cash or in account as this will matter?
