Does anybody know if its possible to trace an email 'gone astray'? Where somebody swears they replied to an email but it cant be found on your computer?
 
i suppose you have already checked your spam folder, just in case?

Being a naturally suspicious person :)o) i would only believe them if i could see the email in their "sent items" folder to be honest.

but i'm sure some of the clever technical people on here will know a way!
 
Yes I checked my spam as well as everything else . Funny thing is, the person forwarded a 'copy' of the response- but the strange thing is there was no date, no time....
is this possible?
 
Interestingly enough I am having problems with my Hotmail emails at the moment. Not being received and also being bounced back to me.
 
Problem solved. The email i didnt receive actually came in but under a different name and into my spam which was deleted as it wasnt recognised.
Yes, I often have hotmail problems too-which usually tend to sort themselves out when left alone for a few hours.
