Alright, thanks to my part-time work trickling down to a handful of hours a week I'm going to have bite the bullet and take out a long term student loan.
I have a rough financial plan, and taking worse case scenarios into account I'm planning on borrowing €3,500 that should tide me over til the middle of the Summer, where, touch wood, I shall find work to keep me both occupied and preventing eviction. (Though I do accept increasing the amount borrowed in future may be a requirement.)
So, I had a quick look at the three main banks (AIB, BOI and Ulster Bank) and all of their rates seem fairly comparable - so does anyone have any nuggets of wisdom to throw in? Anything else I need to add? Cheers. =)
