EBS sending out December statements in February.

Today the 8th February I got an end of year statement from the EBS showing my balance as at the 31st December. Is there any reason that we cannot get these in early January?
In my case the account was closed at the end of January and moved to another institution paying a higher rate of interest. Seemed a pointless waste of a stamp and envelope.....

I got a statement for an account which I closed last March/April! And I'm still waiting on my mortgage statement (which hasn't closed!).

My mortgage closed two years ago and I never received a closing statement. Must follow it up one of these days....

By law you must be sent your yearly statement as you had an active account in 2008. Probably only getting it in Feb because they have over 150,000 mortgage holders maybe more and it would not really be wise to send all of them together in the first week of January... in case people had calls/queries etc...

I have still not received a closing statement for a PTSB mortgage that was closed in June last year. Banks seem to be very lax on these sort of things.
