I am wondering does anyone know where it is possible to get a large amount of finance in order to purchase a business for circa. €300k. It is already in operation and has good accounts.
Any help would be appreciated

Didn't sound like it from your original post!

well to be fair to the original poster, there are (used to be!) other alternatives to Banks such as investment funds, and business expansion schemes (BES funds). But as to how much is availability there is in the current market is questionable.

Maybe there is also the European Invesment Bank or EIF, both provide funds aimed at small businesses, and if you can't get it direct, some banks do have allocations of funds from these sources.

Thank you Marksa. A bit of common sense these days seems scarce. I will try that

Hi KFB123

Take a look at this site, it may give you a few ideas on financing. I do not have any connection to any of these bodies or businesses, I am only another Joe soap trying to start a business at this time !

Remember the most important item required when asking for finance to start / finance a business, is a thorough well prepared business plan, with up to date cash flow forecast, Profit and loss, Balance sheet, etc for at least 3 years.
A.I.B have excellent advise on their website on preparing a business plan, do check it out. It will be very difficult to get finance from the mainstream banks at the present time, however dont give up, get that business plan organised, and start knocking on doors.

Best of luck
