Thinking of going over to St Lucia in March to visit Bro. Miss Gunner cannot go as not enough hols from work and I have to use up my carry overs from last year

Ok its a honeymoon place but is it all lovvy duvvy or can a bloke on his own just chill out and have enough activities to keep him going

ur going to st lucia on your own??? strange choice

Brother has just moved over there and going over to see him, yes it is a strange choice to go on your own but its either go there or sit at home and clean the house for the days I am not on hols

It's a carribean island! I'm sure there's plenty to do, especially if you like watersports/diving/snorkelling! Go for it!

oh well if ur bro is there then thats different. what he is working at there??

i was there in 2008 , to be honest i didnt like it :-( the island is extremely poor and quite dirty unless you stick to the expensive resort areas. obviously dirt cheap, 2 dollars for a bottle of beer.

Mobile phone business so he wont be there during the day I am not a sit on the beach type of person but was browsing last night and seems to be a lot of watersports available. Also may try some day trips

I agree with this.

Its probably the worst Caribbean Island ive been on. in the towns and cities its a complete tip. Junkies everywhere too.

As jimbobman says. Stick to the expensive resorts. You can get a tour of the island for about $20 and there are some beautiful places alright, but these are not where you will generally be.

well it seems that there are good parts and bad parts to the island. May see the sites and then try some of the other surrounding islands for day trips

Got a good deal so now its time to do more research and see what else there is to do over there but if anyone else has any other opinions let me know

Thanks
