Depending on the time of day you made the payment from your BoI current account (& I'm assuming you used 365 Online ?), the payment would have reached VISA either Friday or Monday. Regardless, it should be reflected in your VISA transactions today - usually 'RETAIL PAYMENT'.

If the balance has been reduced, then the payment, or some payment, has taken effect. The change, or absence thereof, Balance Available could be accountable to other reasons, e.g. payment authorised to retailer, but payment transaction has yet to arrive.

ok sorry for butting in but this keeps happening me i have an nib cc & i use online banking to transfer €50 a week from my current ac to cc account.so roughly il have €200 a month paid off it (& my min repayment is €180) But yet il get a letter in the post saying you have not made your repayment late fees have now been charged blah, blah etc.
in Dec i actually got a notice of default & its still not sorted.
Like my credit card is being credited with these payments but the online bank system is not recognising them as payment iykwim

I really don't understand why this is happening. I have an AIB current acc and an AIB VISA card and if I make any payment to my CC from my Current Account online before 4pm (and sometimes a bit after 4pm)on a weekday it shows up on the account that same night.
If I go into the branch and pay the cash directly off the CC then it can take 3 working days to show up (usually 2 in practice) but if I pay the cash into my current acc and then pay it off my VISA online - it always shows up the same night, nearly always before 10pm.
Your online bank transactions should show the payment and at least that is proof you've made it. Enquire with BOI what is the fastest way to get the money from your current acc to your CC.
Sorry I can't be of any help to your situation - I just don't understand it.

Ring credit card services, once you pay into your account it automatically shows up with them about 5 mins sfter paying, eventhough you might not be able to see it.

TarfHead's correct - BoI take a couple of days to credit the account. Probably the full "allow three working days" period, in fact. If you pay your credit card manually with them, you need to be extra vigilant on the payment date.

This is true (I worked for them) and ye didn't read my post. It turns up on the credit card services screen (the people you ring i.e the number on the back of your credit card within a few minutes) when you ring them, not the cashiers. It can take up to 5 working days to appear on the cashiers screen. If you don't belive me try it next time you pay your bill and ring credit card services 5 mins after.

That may depend (in BoI) on how you make the payment.

Assume you use 365 Online on a Friday evening to make a payment to your credit card. That payment is 'warehoused' in Bank of Ireland until Monday and the credit card company won't have sigth of it until BoI process it onwards on Monday evening.

OP used a BoI current account to make a payment to a BoI VISA card, so the likliehood they used 365 Online is, IMHO, high.
