Sigh, its that time of the year isn't it?

Does anyone know where I can get choc chips for choc chip cookies? I h ave the regular block of chocolate stuff.

Will be in dublin city centre later today.

(can't believe I'm sending this at this time...)

chocolate chips? they sell them in the baking section of tescos and dunnes and in my local eurospar (i bake a lot) usually beside the icing and cooking chocolate near the flour

they look like [broken link removed] and the pack is just slightly bigger than a pub size pack of peanuts

Can you not get a potato peeler and peel a few chips off a cooking chocolate bar or a packet of chocolate buttons and improvise?

If you are in Dublin city centre, then Dunnes in St. Stephen's Green is probably your best bet. If you have no luck there, then Fallon & Byrne would probably have them (hand-rolled by organic virgins...)

But any large-ish Tesco will also have them if you have one locally.

Sprite

that doesn't work cos choc chips are designed not to melt completely whereas ordinary cooking choc/buttons melt straight away.
