Gas from spray deoderant

I got a new bottle of spray deoderant today, giving myself a quick burst my fingers got covered in the stuff from a leak and after finishing it kept on hissing and seemed to be eliminating a sort of gas. Silly mare that I am, I sniffed it to see what it was! :eek: before putting it outside the house where it still sits.

I suspect the safest thing to do is get rid but will it be okay in the regular wheelie bin? This is the gas folks sniff for kicks isn't it? Contemplated returning it to Tesco but that might be more trouble than it's worth.
 
You'd be far better off sniffing the gas from cans of whipped cream. This is nitrous oxide (AKA laughing gas).
 
I've been reliably informed by my 16 year old that I did the right thing putting it outside, she said I need to contain it and cannot put it in the regular bin. Might send Himself to Tesco with it, make it their problem...and get a refund!
