where and what rifle to buy

I was wondering if someone could give me a few suggestions on buying a rifle , I have a shotgun but im not a member of a club. Have got two letters from farmers and just dont know what type of 2.2 to buy.
Any help would be great.:confused:
 
My brother bought a rifle from a guy outside Athlone, he's very happy with it and will be returning.

Where abouts are you situated?!

What part of the country do you live in?
 
Im in Dublin but i don't mind traveling, could do with the name of a good make and model.
 
Rabbits, you will have free food for life, once you get a gun.

Yes, provided you are a good shot. Have nothing against gun clubs but there is a problem with people who are bad shots who maim animals who then run off to die painful deaths. A relative has recently banned all clubs from her land;she was fed up of finding dying rabbits and birds left there by shooters. So , enjoy your sport, but please do a lot of practice first.

Good point, I hadnt considered that some people can barely hold a gun never mind shoot one.

In my opinion the most popular .22 is the Brno its good and reliable and are in most gun shops, Not too expensive so you can spend that bit extra on a better than average sight, Not long since we traded a perfect one, so You will get perfect 2nd hand ones.
