GreatGolf.com - Online VISA payment not honoured

HI,

I recently purchased a Golf Tee Time Voucher from an online service provider GreatGolf.com, the purchase and voucher was confirmend by GreatGolf.com. However when I went to the golf course to play the golf club refused the voucher as GreatGolf.com had not paid them. The golf club had been provided with CC details from GreatGolf.com, which was denied by the clearing bank. This meant that I had to pay the green fees directly to the golf club for a second time.

I am now in the situation were I am not getting any response from GreatGolf.com and I have not been refunded the original transaction costs.

Can anybody tell me what financial regulator I report GreatGolf.com to and am I able to claim the money back from my credit card provider.
 
You should contact your card provider and tell them that you never received the service paid for. You need to check if the terms & conditions of your card exclude card issuer liability for certain transactions (e.g. non card present/online purchases). I don't think that the financial regulator has any remit here. Maybe contact the NCA (www.consumerconnect.ie) about this company?
 
I know the directors of greatgolf.com and they would be shocked to hear of this problem. I can only presume it's an administration error. I am also aware that due to ongoing telephony issues in Spain they have recently changed their numbers. Please provide me with the booking details, dates, courses etc as I may be able to resolve it for you.
 
That's absolutely correct. Please contact greatgolf.com directly and they will resolve any issues directly for you. They do provide excellent service, which is why I am so suprised by the previous issue raised. They have thousands of satisfied regular clients every month.
 
If you look at the website, you will see that there is very little information about the company or the people behind it.

That is enough to put me off dealing with it.

I do not want any upset customers and I will resolve the issues that you have.
