Had to buy a new computer as my fairly new acer laptop has decided it doesnt want to charge up anymore!! My problem now is how can I transfer all the e mails I received off my old machine and on to the new one, is it possible? I guess that all my ordinary saved files and pictures can just be transferred by using a USB stick.

You will need to say which e-mail program you use before you get an answer on this

Sorry its from outlook express (xp) to windows mail. New computer came with vista on it. Let me know if I need to add any more info

Ensure you backup your mail file first by
searching for a *.pst file on your computer and save it to disk.
Try importing this then to Outlook Express or whatever mail program you're using on your new pc.Striaghtforward enough but if it doesn't work you still have your pst file saved.

Outlook Express doesn't use PST files (they might be .DBX, not sure off the top of my head though). Windows Mail should be able to import mail from the Outlook Express files as one replaces the other, but it can't import from Outlook PST files.
