Hi There,

Apologies if there's already a thread on this but I couldn't find any!!

I'm moving to Bettystown in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone could answer the following questions;

1. Is there a regular Bus Service to Drogheda / Dublin City Centre? Any idea how long the journey is, how much per ticket?

2. Is there a regular bus service to Laytown Train Station? Any idea of times?

3. Anyone know if the gym in the Bettystown Court is any good?

Would be grateful for any imput from any locals!!

Thanks,
DubShelly

Re: Moving to Bettystown!!

Hi DubShelley,

The bus service to Dublin from Bettystown is run by Matthews coaches and they provide a really good reliable service - very comfy coaches. First bus into Dublin is at 6.10am and it takes an hour (under an hour at that time of the morning) last bus home is midnight, there are 2 buses per hour. The cost per 10 return tickets is €50 and the good thing is that there is no expiry date on them. You can get annual tickets with tax relief.

Bus into Drogheda is by Bus Eir and takes 20 mins or so. There is one an hour from 8am until 7pm. Not 100% sure how much by I think its about €5 return. This is also the bus that goes to Laytown train station.

The gym in the Bettystown Court is lovely, nice pool and good facilities and classes - its about €55 per month by Direct Debit - if you look out in local newspapers they usually do a few offers per year to join without paying the €150 joining fee.

Let me know if you need any other info.
