A very good friend of mine is going out with a guy for the past 8 and half years. They built a house together on her father's land, and are living together for the past 3 months. Her name is on the Planning permission and the deeds, but both names are on the mortgage. She now wants to break up this relationship and get him to move out, things not working out. Is he entitled to anything? Any opinions appreciated.

I'm presuming they registered the title in sole name for tax purposes and they jointly contributed to the build and mortgage repayments to date?
I'd certainly hope he is entitled to a share of the property.

They jointly helped out with the build. ie getting in tradesmen, ordering material, etc. She has been paying the mortgage but he has been giving her cash every few months,
I apologise in advance if this is a silly question but would it matter that much to have the house registered solely or jointly for tax purposes?
