Frequency of fluid changes other than engine oil?

Hi

Was wondering about things like:

Brake fluid? (expensive compared to other changes?)
coolant?
gearbox oil?

...anything else?

In general is there a mileage based interval for these things?

It varies car to car. I have a classic car, and I drain & replace brake fluid every 3 years (as it absorbs water). I drain and repalce coolant every 2 years and also remove and reverse flush rad. Gearbox oil never needs changing acording to specs.

Thanks RS2K

Gearbox oil never needs changing acording to specs.

Do you mean according the specs of your classic car, or generally?

The others were sort of along the lines I was thinking of.

Any other often neglected less obvious fluid changes like this?

Hydraulic clutch fluid (same as brake fluid, some cars share a common reservoir with the brakes), automatic transmission fluid for auto boxes, power steering fluid unless car has electric PS, refrigerant for A/C, battery electrolyte, differential gear oil (3 of them if you have a 4x4 / quattro), [screen / headlight wash, lol].
