Week Holiday destination ideas?

A really great thing has happened me this week. My beautiful wife was chatting to my best mate and he was telling her he is going on holidays for a week in November, The goddess that is my wife than came home and said I should go with him because I need a break too. It also is the perfect excuse for her to visit her famliy for a week.

Our dates aren't fixed and we have no idea where to go. We travelled quite alot together a few years back and although he wants to go to Venice, I've been there and loved it, but it's not really a place to go on a lads break. Anybody any ideas? Whats Vegas like this time of year and is it too far away for a week?

if ur wife is such a goddess then you wudnt want to leave her.

vegas to class but a week is too long there, not too short. id just head to the canaries, few pints and sunshine
 
Anywhere warm, the summer here has been so dire. South of Spain has a good chance of still being ok that time of year, maybe Marbella if you like golf as well as the few bevvies. Short flight, not expensive.
 
Limerickboy- How many wifes suggest that their husbands head off for a week, famliy free? And this coming from a wife whose husband (me) went to a stag weekend in Latvia and ended up in Barcelona for the Barca/Man U game earlier this year :eek:.

Lollix- Thinking we should stay local as we don't want to fly for days and if we can fly direct from shannon that would be a bonus. Warm weather does sound like a good idea, I'll run Spain pass my mate.

i've even a better suggestion.... why don't you offer to take the week off that week and stay and home and let her off with your pal or even better her pals! :p

If you knew my mate you wouldn't let him alone with my wife, or anybodies wife for that matter ;). No doubt this trip will come with future conditions and I am sure she will be repaid in kind and beyond.

Ryanair fly direct to Malaga from Shannon, under 3 hours flying time.
Car hire deals from www.carjet.co.uk are almost for nothing in Spain this time of year.
Loads of excellent and very reasonable accommodation in Marbella, try the hotel andalucia plaza [broken link removed] or the hotel pyr http://www.hotelpyr.com/
Loadsa golf courses nearby, and great places to eat. Ideal for a few days away with mates.
By the way, I have no connection with any of the companies mentioned!
