Hi,

Does anyone have any information about Hampton Wood please. I got a call today offering me a 3 bed Duplex House through the affordable housing. Does anyone have any information for me please. I am from the southside and would not have a clue about Finglas. Going to view it next week.
 
nice enough area imo
your on the boundary of poppintree, but hampton wood is a nice modern development with a great bus service to the city centre, no 140 i think, into town in 25-30 mins.

it is 5-10 min walk to charlestown shopping centre, there is a local spar in there somewhere too.

have a look around and see how you get on.

check out and see if there is any forum for hampton wood yet.

I worked near Poppintree a couple of years ago, dodgy turf in my opinion. However, drive all over locality on a few different evenings and really observe. That is the only way to see if an area would suit you.

yeah i suppose it is, but its also on the border of meakstown, finglas and glasnevin north. as stated above best way to see is if you have a good drive around the estate and surrounding areas, and try talk to some of the neighbours if you can.
 
Wasn't aware this was that close to Glasnevin Nth...Lovely apartments and duplexes but check in with the people on .

Have heard reports of bad quality build and some major problems with recent flooding...Close to the new Charlestown shopping centre though and now served ok by buses (new 140 now in operation to south city centre). Have heard these reports 2nd hand so it is worth asking some specific questions of current residents there....
