not sure where to put this. there was a thread yesterday on ground conditions at marlay park that seems to have disappeared, rather than opening a new thread and have it disappear, can it be explained why the thread disappeared?
if anyone was at the metallica gig last night did it get very mucky?

You did not need to go to it! I could hear from my house, which is miles away.

You mean this thread that did not disappear?

Marlay Park Concerts & Weather

Why not try searching before demanding explanations for the disappearance of threads which were never deleted?

well, let's see now, i did use the search function, searched for marlay, marley, concerts and nothing came up i even searched for 'mud' and 'mucky' before posting - so either i imagined all that or there was an issue with the search function, or else perhaps the search function doesn't work for 'the depths' that was one of the problems i had was that i couldn't remember which section it was in. i don't think i 'demanded' an explanation, all i did was ask.

i know on other sites such as boards there is an issue with mentioning mcd promoted concerts and i was concerned that that had spread to this site too.

It's just that AAM's search function does not include LOS or STB.

Otherwise it's perfectly fine for finding threads in my experience.

Using Google is probably best for The Depths.

What I want to know is what are "vibrating flanges"?

They sound like fun to bring on holidays (you'd probably have to check if they are legal before you could bring them into some countries)

Er...a good evening was it?

Yes it was.

I have found out that flanges can be to do with plumbing, micro waves, and wheels but nothing to do with feathers, whips or leather so my guess is Clubman (hopefully) made up the phrase "vibrating flanges", otherwise I fear for my innocence.

Only this morning on investigation did I discover that the term "vibrating flanges" refers to a link in ClubMan's post above. I looked at the thread last night without clicking on links and was wondering why the hell you were suddenly asking about vibrating flanges in a thread about Marley Park and search engines.
