I hope so. It was truly spectacular.
But the singer was Yang Peiyi, who was not allowed to appear because she is not as "*************************" as nine-year-old Lin.
The show's musical director said Lin was used because it was in the best interests of the country.
Who cares? Wasn't the lighting of the Olympic torch in another recent games (Athens?) "faked" when the archer who was supposed to be lighting it missed? And do you think that everybody sings live at such events?... and, apparently, partly faked. Some of the events were pre-recorded (eg fireworks)

Also, and more despicably, the pretty little girl shown singing perfectly during the ceremony actually mimed to the voice of another, less pretty, little girl.

Yeah - that would never happen in the "free world".The bit i didn't like was the use of a fake singer because she was *************************, implying that the 'real' singer was flawed because she wasn't as pretty, particularly as this was the Governments attitude.
