Car radio interference!

Need help with something - I will try to explain it as clearly as I can.

No matter what station I tune or programme into my car radio "Newstalk" comes in and out of it - I am not sure it this is some clever marketing ploy but it driving me nuts!

I am driving along listening to Today FM and every 4seconds or so the station flicks back to Newstalk and straight back to Today FM so I can't listen to anything.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how to stop it?

Does the station actually change to / display Newstalk? If so, it may be a RDS setting. Check that you don't have it set to change station for Traffic News etc.
 
any chance George Hook was in the car changing the channel ?

sounds like it's either the RDS or the traffic report function , does you manual tell you how to turn those off ?
 
What it the RDS function? Have taken off the traffic update and tried "retuning" all the stations while leaving Newstalk off the list and its not working! System still jumping back to it evertime!

I am sick listening to George Hook already and he's only back since yesterday!!!!!
