Dealer sell your car for you?

It's a handy way for the dealer to charge dealer rates for a private car that they didn't have to buy in.

It's good business for the dealer and the buyer as the dealer will offer a warranty whereas a private seller cannot unless he / she is a mechanic.

Plus once they sell your used car for you they can then try and flog you another car.

Dealer wins all the way around.

Personally I would like to see a car buying service.

If there was a company out there who were for example to purchase fifty or sixty new cars from a particular brand on a daily basis I would imagine that they could argue the price of the cars down way below showroom rates. I would imagine bigger savings than any import could offer through bulk purchase.

But that might just favour the customer a little too much.

No lol
Im just pointing out that you will be at a loss as opposed to selling privately.

If indeed you manage to sell it privately - no mean feat in the current market

Er, is this not what importers do?

I'm not so sure that buying an import is such good value.

For example if you buy an Import and it turns out to have a major problem, where do you go?

Back to England?

What I am talking about is an Irish bulk purchase company who buy from a dealership in high volume therefore forcing the price down on new cars only.

I have considered Importing in the past, but after speaking to a few friends who imported I decided against it.

A few of them have had serious trouble in selling them on to change cars.

I meant professional car importers who sell to the trade, not individuals who go over to the UK or elsewhere to buy a car for themselves.

I don't think there would be a problem with a proffesional import compnay with a purpose built dealership. Reason being is that you can go back to them with any concerns.

I'm talking about side of the road imports , the majority of what you see on Carzone.

Anyone ever use a Dealer to see their Car?

This seems to be a bit of a gimmick. I was on to them and they told me that they could get my car in from the UK for €8k. It is a top of the range 2004 Avensis 2.0L Diesel with 70k on the clock. It has all the extras. They would sell it in their dealership for more than 16k.

Kevin O Leary garages, bow your head in shame at your blatant false advertisement which is nothing more than robbery.
