Hi
I was recently in court(no tv license) and i was found guilty,I recieved a fine of 195 euros and was told by the judge i had two months to pay
Well the two months are almost up and i have received nothing in the post
and i am now wondering if maybe i shouldnt be waiting for a letter with payment details etc at all.so i guess my question is how do i pay this fine?

Just out of curiosity what were the circumstances of them discovering you had'nt a license? Did an inspector call and look in the window and then asked you to produce one? Also you seem to have indicated that you pleaded not guilty? What was their proof?

Regarding your question. I would tell you to ring the District Court fines office. They will set you straight on that.

Agree with this. If a Judge orders you to do something i.e. pay within 2 months, its a good idea to do it. Pay at your local District Court Office.

I pleaded guilty because i was guilty but the judge still decides who's guilty, thats why i said i was found guilty.
thanks for the advice about ringing the district court, sounds simple but i overlooked it,just like paying for my tv license;)

I dont mean to be splitting hairs here but if a defendant pleads guilty to a charge he is then convicted by the court/jury. If he pleads not guilty and the case is proved beyond a reasonable doubt he is then found guilty and convicted by the court/jury.

There's a subtle distinction between the two.

Again ontheup would you mind describing the circumstances that found you in court on such a charge obviously without identifying anybody or anywhere.
