Does anyone know why they would be firing a gun on Dún Laoghaire West pier. I was out there yesterday evening with the dog and noticed some signs near the end of the pier stating "Caution Guns Firing". When I was on the way back I did heard 2 gun shots coming from a shed that is located towards the end of the pier. Gave the dog and myself a fright when the guns were fired but was just curious what was the reason for this. It was not anything illegal as this seemed to have been organised by the Dún Laoghaire Harbor Authority.
