How do you view AAM?

Was pondering this as I logged in and hit "New Posts". How does everyone view AAM? Do you go to specific forums, hit "new posts" and scroll through, read everything or just the ones that hit your interest?

Me? I hit "New Posts" and scroll through for something of interest, blessing more than once the rule of making subject lines relevant. Then I go to "Shooting the Breeze" cos it took me a while to realise that section doesn't show up in "New Posts".

I don't read everything and wouldn't usually respond to something if I felt my point had already been covered but sometimes I do.

If I'm really bored I scroll through sections of interest for anything I might now find interesting.

Hi
I do the same as you!
This link:

brings up The Depths bit too. (Got that from DrMoriarty). I've saved it as a bookmark, and use that instead of new posts once I'm logged in.
It's v handy

you've hacked the system. The FBI will be knocking down your door any second now.

When you want to bookmark a page/link which you are viewing use the Favourites menu option in IE or Bookmarks menu option in Firefox or the equivalent in any other browser.

When I log in and use this favourite I get the message: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

You mean this one?

or the URL that this results in when clicked and search processing completes? E.g. of following form:

The latter is not persistent and will time out. You need to copy and paste the first URL above into the bookmark rather than attempting to bookmark the second type of URL.

I use a link to in the bookmarks toolbar of Firefox to get all new messages in one click. I keep planning go add some excludes (e.g. &exclude=22,23,68 to exclude Letting off Steam, Shooting the Breeze,
Gift Ideas and General Suggestions) to improve the SNR, but it has yet to get done...

I assume you all realise that I get paid every time someone clicks on that?

;)
