Sole traders newbie sorry

Sorry im learning in this world of business but i have a question that i have no found a 100% definate answer too for a hesitant newbie like myself..

If i am starting up a new business as a sole trader and you will be employing three staff to assist me, do i need to register for PAYE? If so, when do i register?

If you have not yet registered as a Sole Trader you can register as an employer on Form TR 1. If you have already completed this regiseration form and didn't complete the section in relation to registering as an employer you can register now by completing form PREM 1.
You must register as an employer even if you only have one employee.

You register just in advance of the first employee commencing so that you can properly register them when they start.

Might I also suggest that if you have little/no knowledge of PAYE/PRSI & employing staff, it might be beneficial to either
- engage a bookkeeping/payroll service or
- get a basic pc based payroll package & training, ( there are several simple ones on the market at aobut €150pa for the software)
