I see some stuff on the internet say march next year for the new car.

I think I will go and have a look anyway.

Still looks like a lot of car for 30k new.

A lot of car, a lot of reliability, a heck of a lot of peace of mind. (Speaking as a former Subaru owner. I only switched because they had no diesels and will probably switch back at the next change).

Hi, I drove one there last week, very nice smooth and quite drive, good pulling power, what blew me away was the amount of standard kit that comes with it - alloy, aircon, frameless doors, xenon lights, heated seats, retractable mirrors. Excellent value for money and low road tax, the dealer says from driving around he gets 50mpg! Read somewhere on the web to wait tiil December for a 6 speed.

If there is a six speed box coming would be worth waiting till 09 and maybe look again then.

Didn't get the test drive today got stuck on a job with a mate.

Must go an have a look though next week.

Good to hear so much positive feedback though.

Thanks.

Clarkson says the petrol model was twice the car of the new diesel! He hated and down the diesel in every way.

Pitted a 535d against a 4.4 petrol 5 and it lost by a very few short seconds around their teack.

No a like for like test, 540 had an engine and a half over the diesel.

Off the subject a bit.

JC and Top Gear not the milestone for whether diesel is good or bad.

Well he would say that about diesels, and he can afford what he wants, I'm glad to see the positive reviews for the car
