Is it worth buying a car in the North?

I am looking to buy a small used car, maybe a Micra or a Yaris. My friend who lives in Belfast seems to be getting a much better deal on the one she is buying and there seems to be a better choice and the cars appear to be a higher spec in general? Also the stg xrate is pretty good at the mo.
Is it worth my going up there? What is the site to calculate the VRT?

Definately worth it at the moment with the sterling worth so little. Smaller engine cars tend to go for a lot more here due to insurance on young drivers.

I would think that the figures speak for themselves.

80,000 + cars imported into Ireland from UK and NI last year.

I guess people don't fall for the " Quality and Service" Bull anymore

It's your money as Eddie Hobbs would say.

Why not use the money that you will save to buy a better brand.
