Make 15,000 work hard to help pay school fees?

We have about 15,000 euros in SSIA and regular savings in the EBS and Bank of Ireland. We are sending our children to a (non-catholic) fee paying school - but we are not rich - unfortunately - Is there any way of making this money work a bit harder so we can use that to help pay some of the fees. We would have preferred to send them to a free school - but as the government seem to be stalliing on the re building of that school - we feel we have no option but to pay for a decent environment -

If you're talking deposit accounts only then First Active eSavings would be a good idea;

5.22% (from 9th July 2007) on €1 minimum to €15,000
4.33% on €15,001 to €1m maximum (rate applies to whole balance, not excess over €15,000)
Online only. Interest paid monthly, so an opening balance of €15,000 attracts lower rate after one month.

Open 2 accounts with 7500 in each and get the higher interest on all of it.
