I have small kitchen that requires tiling on the floor and walls above the counter. Can anyone please recommend a good tiler on the southside of Dublin.

Many thanks

Call Alan on 0861230912. He did our tiling and wooden floors and did a great job on both.

Hi,

Approximately how much to do that job? How much tiling was there and how big was the area for wooden floors?

thanks!

Just wondering if anyone has any other recommendations for tilers in the south dublin area. On average what should you be paying for square meters. Would need someone to start early in the new year...

Thanks in advance.

Re: Recommend a good tiler in South Dublin

Leo thanks for the feedback but this relates to outside Dublin mainly.

So I have made some calls to tilers that I found on the web but have no recommendations from anyone. I am being quoted from approx 15 sq mtr to 40 per sq meter...... I have approx 160 sq mts to do so want to ensure I am getting the right person and paying the right money for the job...

Has anyone recommend any good tiler in south dublin where they were happy with the work and got good value...

I appreciate any feedback.

Re: Recommend a good tiler in South Dublin

I used some polish guys recently and they were top class. They spent the morning making sure the concrete floor was even and then 3 of them tiled everything from 1 O'Clock to 6 O'Clock (Kitchen and Utility room). In total I gave them 400 euro which was a bargain and they did an extremely neat job.

Since then I got them back in to do more tiling, putting up skirting boards, replastering a wall. I was extremely impressed with all of them and would highly recommend them. Ring Robert 0851302087.

Roberts english is not brilliant but when you get him into the house he'll understand exactly what you need done and won't leave until he's happy with the job (they have very high standards).

Do you mind asking where robert is based.

My new house is ready in March and I will have approx. 75 sq. yrds of tiles.

Builder is quoting me €30 per yrd. plus VAT and that is just for plain straightforward tiles. I will probably put some marble/porcelin, so that will work out dearer again.

Thanks

He is based in Rathfarnham. Our kitchen and utility was about 20 sq metres in total the price was 400 euro.

I also used Alan for our wood floors and tiles (number above). We have a two bed apartment and tiles needed for the floors in the kitched, bathroom and en-suite. He did it all in two easy days helped me out with exactly what he needed for the job, great guy and reliable for €1500. He has my reccomendation!

I used Robert and his co worker Richard to do some tiling, it was quite a big area with lots of uneven walls so was a hard enough job, they did a superb job and were absolute perfectionists. They didn't want to finish until the job was absolutely right. It was our first home so they made the experience very stress free, their english is not bad at all but it would be better to show them the job, they will know what to do once they see it! We got a great price of 600 for a hall, utility, bathroom and kitchen/diner, they were also very neat and kept the place very clean and tidy! I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future. His number is the same as in the text above.

Hi Rach26,

Can you confirm if you have any association with the people recommended. A thread that has been resurrected from 2007 and has a glowing recommendation from a 1st time poster is inclined to raise people's suspicions here.
