MBNA and AXA discount

Does anyone else have any experience with the discount on offer here, basically ya get .5% discount back on your AXA insurance policy motor or home.
Have in now for a couple of years but I'm not convinced that the full discount is actually being applied , should have €140 discount but this only seems to bring it down to the cheaper market rate with the same benefits.

Is this something that could be directed to the financial ombudsman.

Just wondering is has anyone else noticed this, I know with all insurance agents have a tendency to drop prices to match other competitors and AXA constantly tell me things like their prices are higher because they actually pay out unlike other companies. Not overly concerned with the benefit with motor insurance but would over the house insurance. I've spoken to AXA about this many times but still not convinced .
Their home insurance seems to come out nearly twice as much as QD, obviously there are differences in all policies but is there that much .
BTW has anyone been satisfied/ dissatisfied with their insurance companies on pay up time

what exactly is your complaint for the Ombudsman? You say there are differences between the Quinn and Axa policies, and that Axa's costs more.

Axa's policy costs more most likely because its a better policy. Your own circumstances will dictate which policy is best for you.

Pay your money, take your choice.

If you have a problem with how your insurer handles your claim, e.g. they deny the claim and you think they shouldn't have, well then you can complain to the Regualtor AFTER you've gone through the complaints procedure of your insurance company.

What has MBNA got to do with this ?
.5% discount ? - What does this refer to ?

Your post poses no questions, - can you clarify what exactly you are looking to find out ?

I didn't go into great detail on the discount you get as I was hoping to hear from mbna/axa customers who could advise me who are aware of the policy, but the discount is half a percent on you annual spend e.g. €20k = €100
And Miser I do check every year and check the difference in the type of benefits, and I have changed this year and using discount for the house insurance but if the discount isn't clear or true well them it could be regarded as misleading so therefore a case for the FR.

Well the reason I ask is, I am a customer of both is it the credit-card you are talking about and the points back in leiu of a premium discount ?

You have not stated a such.

Yes it is the discount from the credit card off the insurance policy, is it applied or is it just another BS marketing ploy, my car insurance did not drop significantly enough despite having a €140 discount from mbna to axa.
Trying them with the house insurance and if I don't really get the discount compared to last years premium then I'll dump the card.

It is applied - contact AXA to ensure that your policy is linked to your credit-card account.
