Anyone else think they went a bit OTT? The "swoosh-ping" that accompanies every pop-up is a bit grating. They've gone mad on the graphics - virtual reality pitch.... hah??

Then they have the analyst up the back on his own chair. Even the old tune was "remastered" - a classic case of not leaving well enough alone, though its great to get back to the tune in whatever format.

Great to have the championship back but they should cut back on the glitz budget.
 
Betsy Og, I'm with you on this one.

I wish that the somebody, somewhere, who is trying to justify his/her employment was not let near The Sunday Game. As for the music, viewers wanted the old music brought back, but no, the programme makers couldn't even do that without messing with it.
As they say in the country - " It isn't either done now, or left alone "
 
forgot to give the Sunday Game a thumbs up for being possibly the first RTE programme to use an Iron Maiden track as part of the accompanying music. The opening sounds of Wasted Years (a classic from c 1987) made an appearance when introducing one of the segments - think it was the one where every single player interviewed was wearing a white t-shirt (story with that??)

I think this depends on what aspects they copy, I dont like GAA coverage with too many stats, although i wish they would copy Sky and do interviews with players and managers in the tunnel rather than on the pitch. With on the pitch interviews you have adults and kids jostling the players and you cant hear a word they say...it looks very unprofessional...
