Am about to embark on a refurb/extend project. Have seen recent newspaper adverts for Beyond the Hall Door (company formed out of previous TV show of same name)---- has anyone experience of this firm.

Hi,

Sorry to jump on this thread but I have pretty much the same query, has anyone used them or heard reports about their work, other than the usual glowing testimonials on their website I can't seem to find much info about them,

Thanks,

Jack

Yeah

Beyond The Hall Door used to be on RTE.

They had a really good Interiors Magazine out there for a number of years.

It seems to have dissapeared off the shelves, pity really as it was a more down to earth magazine.

My missus hates the Interiors Magazines on offer in Ireland now as they all look like Hotel Brochures.

Minimalist crap.

The two ladies that run the Beyond the Hall door company now are very experienced at what they do.

I would trust them anyday over a builders wife.

Talk to them at least if you want work done.

Hi Credit Crunch,

Can you confirm if you have any association with the company recommended?

Thanks,

Sue Ellen.

Once again you jump to conclusions doubting the integrety of members posting on AAM. I for one couldn't be bothered offering advice to posters as you always seem to pop up and jump to conclusions.Remember without the advice of those people with experience in relevant fields, AAM would probably die a death in a very short period. So why not back off a little and let threads develop, then when there is something definitely suspicious in the air, make your call.

I don't think Sue Ellen was questioning anyones integrity or jumping to conclusions?

I wouldn't have got that impression either. IMHO Sue Ellen is just giving the poster the opportunity to clarify their status. It's important for us to know that recommendations are just that and not advertising.

Hi Phoenix2,

As moderators we regularly have to delete spam, advertising, try to stop people advertising through PMs etc. It is particularly common in this forum and both Leo and myself spend quite a lot of time doing this to ensure that the community spirit prevails and that free advertising does not become the norm.

I have been a moderator on AAM for approx. the last five years and give up a lot of my scarce free time to help others here. Its not often that I take offence but I certainly find your post out of order but then again its not the first time that you have raised this matter with either myself or Leo:

6. Please identify any conflicts of interestYou are welcome to recommend or fairly criticize a product or company. But if you have a connection with the company or any other potential conflict of interest, please state this in your reply.

Its a rule of the forum here and its a pretty standard question here on threads where anyone mentions a product or company. So its a bit early to be coming over all indignant.
