SKY+ installation query

Guys,

I'll be moving house in the next few weeks and want to get SKY+.

What kinda money would I be looking @ to get it fitted(in Enniskeane(near bandon, co. cork)?

I was also wonderiing, can the installation man work 'magic' and get my old sky digital box working in a second room **cough** FOC **cough**?

well im in cork too and the sky guy that came hadnt a clue, didnt even know how to put in an amplifier. i did it myself after .
 
I got sky+ installed a few months ago. We paid €149 for the sky box and €49 for fitting it.
 
I have just moved house and am getting sky plus and multiroom installed later this week.

From what I recall the various options and prices were:

A straight move basic sky box (ie take the box one we have and get a new dish) was 45euro

Upgrade to sky plus was going to work out at approx 114 euro

Getting sky plus and multiroom was 69euro (plus 15euro a month for at least 1 year for sky multiroom).

I called sky on the moving home line 0818 719 893 and the lad I spoke to was very helpful and really knew his stuff.
 
You can get whats called a quad installed to your dish, which will allow viewing of separate sky boxes in rooms around the house (ie. up to 3 additional rooms). I've sky myself, but haven't gotten around to getting a quad yet. I don't think you get to view all the sky channels in your 3 additional rooms, but I'm pretty sure the main ones are covered. At least this way saves you having to pay for sky multi-room.

your old sky box will allow you view a lot of channels, i ran the cable myself so the installer who couldn't speak english knew eventually what i was looking for.All you can do is ask
 
I got Sky+ in Northern Ireland a few months ago, and then wished I had got a Sky HD box instead. The HD box does everything the Sky + does and gives you the HD if you pay an extra tenner a month (stg). I got the multi room with my old box but paid for it the official way.
