They are mimimum standards with regards toothpaste, but the price variatiations seem to be large.

The same would apply to about 95% of consumer products I would have thought?

Why isn't it called Teethpaste...you could go wild and buy a different brand for each tooth

There is one company with so many brands.

There is one product called "complete" but that company seems to have many other products as well.

Because otherwise then you would have the confusion of both the plastic implement and the stuff in the tube being referred to as 'toothbrush'.

"complete" or "total" would indicate the optimum paste.

But the variety on the shelves is wide.

When mimimum standards exist for toothpaste - does it make a big differance with regards to the paste?
