Over the past few evening when i go to empty the dishwasher i find half the dishes unwashed. Some with ceral still stuck and some knife's/forks not washed. Resulting in a unhappy blueshoes who has to go and handwash them then

Its a whirlpool one and a half year old. Never any problems with it. Checked all the usual salt etc cleaned the inside but still no go.

Anyone with any advice?

Thanks in advance :)

Are you sure all of the cleaning blades are turning? I have this problems when I put something too long into the machine like the utensil tray and the washing blades aren't able to fully turn around.

Just a thought!

Had this problem with a Whirlpool dishwasher a few months ago. My problem was that the top rack had slipped down a bit and the spray arm was unable to rotate freely - it was getting stuck. It is essential that this can rotate freely it, it has jets on the end that spray water.

I would also recommend putting in large plates with the bottom of the plate facing you as the plates tilt downwards and leave plenty of clearance to the spray arm. I always check that this spray arm can rotate freely before I switch it on. Normally use economy wash all the time, mind you I have a good habit of rinsing off excess dirt before I put something in the washer.

hope this helps

also have a whirlpool one and have this prob - ours is caused by a plastic pipe that runs on the floor of the machine - in the middle (just behind the sieve area where the dirt and filter are) - it pops out - it is for pumping water to the upper tray - involves popping in back down into the hole.

Maybe the prob? i was cursing the dishwasher tablets until other half said to push it down!

By any chance do you have one of those dish washer (air) freshners inyour machine? I got one and hung it on the rack, had to call a guy out a few weeks later as the machine wasn't working properly turns out it was because of where it was hanging, I clipped it onto the rack and it then worked fine talk about feeling silly!

Similar problems. When nothing seemed to work we finally found that by pulling out the dishwasher into the middle of the floor we got a decent wash. Stupidly it took a while to figure out that the hose bringing in the water was kinked and thus the whole thing was operating with a dribble of water. Replacing with a more heavy duty hose that couldn't kink solved it.

Thanks everyone for all your replies lots to look into there. Will show mr blue them this evening and try get it sorted.

Thanks again :)

I had the same problem when I bought cheap dishwasher tablets. No problem when I bought the more expensive brands.
You should probabaly give the plates a rinse before putting in.
