Girona (Barcelona) to Salou

Apart from driving, any advice on how to get from Girona to Salou i.e trains, bus etc

Girona is the "wrong" side of Barcelona for Salou

If you've not booked yet you should book to fly to Reus with Ryanair rather than Girona as it's much closer

Otherwise you could take the bus into Barcelona and pick up a train to Salou from there (approximately hourly take 1-1.5 hours) .... You could also go to Girona station and take a train but you'd have to change in Barcelona anyway so there's probably little advantage to this.

Thanks for that. I'd normally fly to Reus if going to Salou, but I'm travelling from Fuerteventura and Girona is the nearest "direct link" by air. I'll have a look at the train timetables and work around that.

barcelona airport is much nearer and there are flights from dublin on clickair and aerlingus/iberia.
