I am looking to get a site assessment report and plan for the effluent treatment system and a water quality test from the well on the property, this is needed to get PP on house.

Anybody have an estimate of expected costs, and work involved. Property is in in South Galway region.

well in est clare for my PP

i got the soil test/ percolation which cost 650..

80 euro for the JCB to dig the holes,, not sure about your well,,

i will be required to have a septic tank, and no treatment system,,

You should to get your water tested for about €100 for the full range of chemical, bacti and metals analysis. You should ensure that your well head is properly sealed and is well clear of septic tanks and intensive agricultural activity.

this will require:
1. hire a digger and dig holes €60-100
2. a site visit to do the test by the tester and a desk study afterwards to write up report €600-€800
3. assuming existing well, test on water in lab €100-€150

total somewhere between €760 and €1050

Jus tbeen through it in South Galway myself

450 for test
neighbour did the hole but would be ~100

water yield & analysis combined - 220

Could you please post me the people you used, and if this is a site report, price I have got was 800 eur. +VAT for site report.

If you ring the council they might have a list of agents?

actually there is most like a list of APPROVED people from the council

I was in touch with GCC planning section and they dont have a list of approved people.

Does anyone know how i can find someone to do a site assessment?

hi. when i applied with clare they were able to supply a list of approved people, cant remember the name of the guy i used, but maybe there is a list on the clare county council website, these people were scattered all over the country not just local to clare
